From Darkness to Light: How I Renewed My Relationship with God and Built “Favored By God”

For years, I lived for the next party, the next distraction, and the next temporary high. I thought I was free, chasing pleasure and numbing pain, but deep down, I was lost. Anxiety and depression became my daily companions, whispering lies that I would never escape the emptiness inside. I was running on fumes, searching for meaning in all the wrong places.

But God never let go of me.

The Downward Spiral

At first, it was fun—late nights, new friends, and an endless cycle of excitement. But over time, the thrill faded, leaving only exhaustion and regret. The more I tried to fill the void with temporary pleasures, the deeper the emptiness grew. I told myself I was fine, but my soul was starving.

Anxiety crept in, followed by depression. I tried to mask it, but the weight of my choices caught up with me. I felt unworthy of love, especially God’s love. How could He want anything to do with someone like me?

A Divine Wake-Up Call

Sometimes, God allows us to hit rock bottom so we finally look up. For me, that moment came when I realized I couldn’t keep living like this. I was tired of the pain, the shame, and the feeling of being disconnected from my purpose.

I started praying again—awkward, hesitant prayers at first. I cracked open my Bible, searching for answers, searching for hope. And God, in His mercy, met me where I was. His word reminded me that I was never too far gone, never too broken to be redeemed.

“Come to me, all you who are weary and burdened, and I will give you rest.” — Matthew 11:28

The Journey Back Home

Renewing my relationship with God wasn’t an overnight transformation—it was a journey of surrender. I had to let go of old habits, toxic influences, and the lies I had believed about myself. It wasn’t easy, but every step brought more peace, more clarity, and more joy than I had ever known.

One of the biggest changes in my life was taking care of my body, not just spiritually but physically. I realized that God calls us to honor our bodies as temples of the Holy Spirit (1 Corinthians 6:19-20). Fitness became a form of worship, a way to rebuild my strength, discipline, and faith all at once.

The Birth of “Favored By God”

Through my own transformation, I felt called to help others who were struggling like I once was. That’s why I created Favored By God—a fitness brand that goes beyond just working out. It’s about strengthening the mind, body, and spirit through faith-based fitness.

I know what it feels like to battle anxiety, depression, and a past that weighs you down. But I also know the freedom that comes from surrendering to God and building a life of purpose. Favored By God is my way of sharing that hope, encouraging others to reclaim their health, renew their faith, and step into the life God has called them to live.

Taking Back This World for God

But this isn’t just about personal transformation—it’s about something bigger. For too long, darkness has crept into every corner of our world, silencing believers, weakening faith, and spreading lies. The enemy wants us to be passive, weak, and silent. That ends now.

We are warriors for Christ, and we will not stand idly by while evil runs unchecked. This world does not belong to the wicked—it belongs to God. It’s time to take it back.

We will be strong. We will be bold. We will not be afraid to speak the truth. We will not apologize for standing up for righteousness. Through faith, fitness, and unshakable conviction, we will lead others out of the darkness and into the light of God’s truth.

A Life Made New

Today, I walk in faith, not perfection, but with a heart fully surrendered to God. The life I once lived feels like a distant memory. Now, my mission is to share the hope I found—to remind anyone feeling lost that it’s never too late to turn back to God.
